Miley is an amazing 16 year old who was cancer free for a year and a half before it came back. The Germinoma cancer in her brain has stunted her growth and can only be treated by chemo and radiation. She is, however, allergic to that treatment. This makes each round of treatment even more unbearable. The meds have severely damaged her organs. She now has diabetes insipidus (water diabetes) and is treated by a dialysis doctor; her last kidney numbers were 765. Miley gets hot flashes and always over heats, and is now allergic to the sun because of the treatments she has endured. Every 3 months she gets a brain MRI and every 6 months she gets a full spine MRI. These radiological sessions each take 3 to 5 hours.

The cancer will never go away fully as it is in her memory and vision, so she will continue to receive treatment for the rest of her life. Miley's mom, Rosie, devotes her life to caring for Miley, but they are struggling to cover the costs of Miley's care. Follow Miley's journey,  and encourage her to keep fighting!
